Book Review: Educated by Tara Westover

Educated is an excellent read and memoir. Tara comes from a rural Idaho family, whose values and beliefs are different from the norms and social expectations, to say at least. Her life was a contrast between the two worlds, her family on one side and her desire for learning on the other. For many years she suffered both physically and emotionally. She did unimaginable things to support her family, but somewhere in that mess, some magic force guided her to persevere and succeed. It is a testament that when we have a desire to achieve something, we can overcome the biggest obstacles. In her case, her hard work, dedication, determination were instrumental in reaching her successes and obtaining one of the highest educational levels. Finally, she had to make some tough decisions to be able to live in peace, the piece how she saw it.
